- 1 cup unsalted butter (230 g), 2 sticks
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (260 g), or dark chocolate chips, divided
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar (300 g)
- ¾ cup brown sugar (150 g)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour (155 g)
- ⅓ cup dark cocoa powder (35 g)

Preparation

- Add the butter and 1 cup (175 g) of chocolate chips to a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1½ minutes, then let sit for 3 minutes before whisking together.
